Sophia Johnston – LMBT #7341

Sophie graduated from Boca Raton Institute of Massage in 1999. She joined the Edmund Center in 2007 after moving to Mooresville.

During her 10 years of experience she has worked in a Chiropractor’s office and specialized in whiplash and spinal injuries and other soft tissue conditions. She addresses the body as whole, blending Neuromuscular Therapy, Deep Tissue techniques, Myofacial Release, Reflexology, stretching, Qigong and other energetic modalities to correct the causes of discomfort and pain.

Sophie is certified by the National Certification Board for Massage and Bodywork Therapy and is licensed by the State of Florida and North Carolina.

Carey Kilakis – LMBT #7196

Carey graduated from Massage School and was licensed in Florida in 2002. She joined the Edmund Center in 2007 when she moved to Mooresville.

During her 7 years of experience she has worked for Chiropractors and Osteopathic Physicians in various settings where she learned and worked on Personal Injury, soft tissue injuries and other rehabilitation techniques for acute and chronic pain.

Carey is certified by the National Certification Board for Massage and Bodywork Therapy and is licensed by the State of North Carolina.

Diane Rockmaker – BS, LMBT #4180

Diane graduated from Southeastern School of Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy in Charlotte, NC, in 2003 and has been with the Edmund Center since 2004. 

Her BS in Health and Physical Education and her post graduate training enables her to assist clients obtain relief from both acute and chronic pain using Myofacial release and other soft tissue techniques. Her work also helps clients gain relief from life’s everyday tensions. 

Diane is certified by the National Certification Board for Massage and Bodywork Therapy and is licensed by the State of North Carolina. 

Rena O’Connell – LMBT #2336

Rena graduated from the Southeastern School of Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy in Charlotte, NC and joined the Edmund Center in 2000.

Her knowledge of the body and her post graduate training enable her to deal with the common pains that are from postural distortion or biomechanical dysfunction i.e. headache, neck, shoulder and low back pain. She is also a specialist in utilizing CranioSacral Therapy and energy work to reach a deeper level of understanding and treatment for special conditions.

Rena is certified by the National Certification Board for Massage and Bodywork, certified in Neuromuscular Therapy and is licensed by the State of North Carolina.

Bob O’Connell – BS, LMBT #2302

Bob was licensed as a Massage Therapist in San Diego, CA in 1989 and has been with the Edmund Center since 1999.

His 20 years of experience and post graduate training enables him to help clients obtain relief from many acute and chronic conditions such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, headaches and low back pain as well as sports related or repetitive use injuries. He also utilizes CranioSacral Therapy and visceral massage for special conditions and enjoys working with chronic pain sufferers who want to try a different approach.

Bob is certified by the National Certification Board for Massage and Bodywork Therapy, certified in Neuromuscular Therapy and is licensed by the State of North Carolina.

He and his wife, Rena, own and manage the Mooresville Edmund Center office.
